Onze wijnfilosofie
Bij Le Barrage is wijn geen aanvulling op de avond, maar een belangrijk onderdeel van de totale beleving. Onze wijnkaart is door de jaren heen met aandacht opgebouwd door onze sommeliers en bestaat uit een combinatie van vertrouwde klassiekers, bijzondere ontdekkingen en wijnen die je niet iedere dag tegenkomt.
Onze liefde voor wijn zie je terug in de breedte én diepte van de collectie. Van toegankelijke wijnen per glas tot grote Bourgognes, oudere jaargangen, bijzondere Bordeaux, iconische Italiaanse en Spaanse producenten en indrukwekkende grote formaten. We bewaren onze collectie op een plek die minstens zo bijzonder is als sommige flessen zelf: de voormalige bankkluis van het historische pand waarin Le Barrage is gevestigd, tegenwoordig onze wijnkluis.
Maar een bijzondere wijn is voor ons pas echt waardevol wanneer hij op het juiste moment wordt geschonken. Daarom speelt persoonlijk advies een belangrijke rol. Onze sommeliers luisteren naar je voorkeuren, zoeken naar de juiste wijn-spijscombinatie en laten je graag kennismaken met iets nieuws. Soms is dat een bijzondere fles uit onze wijnkluis, soms juist een verrassende wijn die perfect bij een gerecht past.
We geloven dan ook niet dat goede wijn ingewikkeld hoeft te zijn. Wijn moet ontdekt, gedeeld en vooral genoten worden.
Dat is de wijnfilosofie van Le Barrage.
Our Wine Philosophy
At Le Barrage, wine is not simply an addition to the evening; it is an essential part of the overall experience. Over the years, our sommeliers have carefully built a wine list that combines trusted classics, exciting discoveries and exceptional wines you do not come across every day.
Our passion for wine is reflected in both the breadth and depth of our collection. From approachable wines by the glass to great Burgundies, mature vintages, exceptional Bordeaux, iconic Italian and Spanish producers, and impressive large formats. Our collection is stored in a setting just as distinctive as some of the bottles themselves: the former bank vault of the historic building that is now home to Le Barrage, transformed into our wine cellar.
But to us, a remarkable wine truly comes into its own when it is served at the right moment. That is why personal guidance is at the heart of our approach. Our sommeliers listen to your preferences, find the right food and wine pairing, and are always happy to introduce you to something new. Sometimes that means opening a special bottle from our cellar; at other times, it is an unexpected wine that perfectly complements a dish.
We believe that great wine does not have to be complicated. Wine is meant to be discovered, shared and, above all, enjoyed.
